About Microneedling:

1What is Microneedling?
Also called microneedling therapy, collagen induction therapy (CIT), and percutaneous collagen induction (PCI), is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. The needles are used to puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin. Noticeable skin improvement in skin texture and firmness, as well as reduction in scars, pore size, and stretch marks.
2How does Microneedling work?
Microneedling taps into the body’s own ability to heal itself when it is wounded. During a treatment session, Dr. Munir uses a small handheld device with tiny needles that penetrate the skin to create small channels in the skin’s outermost layers. These microchannels only cause minimal bleeding and don’t harm the skin, but instead prompt the body to begin healing itself naturally. As a result, growth factors are released that induce collagen and elastin production, which regenerates the skin. In fact, microneedling is sometimes referred to as collagen induction therapy. As the skin heals itself and regrows, it appears more even and full, reducing the appearance of skin blemishes.
3Eyebrow Microblading
Also known as microstroking, is an advanced brow embroidery technique whereby a superfine row of needles is used to create thin, hair-like marks on the skin, which last up to 18 months. It is ideal for creating a very full and realistic looking brow, and is becoming an increasingly popular method in permanent makeup. Procedure includes one touch up six weeks after initial treatment.
